No but seriously, I have to BE there at 3am if I want to get a decent spot (or so I’m told by my peers). And then stand around until 9am for the actual interviews to start, and just UGH. I do NOT want to do this you guys. I was happy where I was. *sigh*

And I’m not even slightly ready. And at this rate I’ll be staying up ALL night and look like a frelling ZOMBIE tomorrow. WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO US??!

“The decline in bee populations has been all the buzz lately, which led Whole Foods Market to team up with the Xerces Society to show us what a world—or at least, produce section—without bees would look like. The University Heights, Rhode Island store removed all foods that are reliant upon the important pollinators, and it leaves a pretty slim selection; 52% of the produce department’s offerings would be pulled from shelves without bees around to help.”

My one fear in all of this is that Disney Channel isn’t what it used to be. I just hope that Michael Jacobs can still push his vision for this show over the effed up Hollywood mentality that has taken over so many kids shows 20 years later. Boy Meets World was extraordinary even in its own day on ABC pushing things like parental respect, abstinence, and even prayer. It’s what set it apart from the others where values are concerned, and I really REALLY want to see that make a comeback, but I feel like it’s gonna be tough.

Basically being a tour guide for all kinds of animals. Chickens, pigs, min horses, goats, cows, donkeys, etc. And it’s great because even though I know TONS about animal behavior and have worked with everything from dogs to dolphins, and have owned everything from hamsters to rabbits, to parrots to dogs, etc over my many childhood years, not to mention working as a vet tech for 4 years…I have next to ZERO farm experience. Weird, right? It just never happened for me to go that route and I always have wanted to complete my animal handling experience and knowledge with farm work, so…welp, there we go. I bridled up my first horse, helped corral chickens, and milked a goat. The AWESOME thing about after working around dolphins and sea lions, everything else is a breeze and I’m 100% comfortable handling just about anything they throw at me. I just have to learn all the little factual stuff that goes along with it. :)

Only negative thing? Florida. Summer. Heat. - In boots and jeans. Good god. That’s gonna kill me. But I’ll be well hydrated, tan, and trim by the end of the summer, for sure. LOTS of walking.

Also. I don’t care if I’m 27. I’m going to ask my daddy to buy me a pony. Because. OMG. I WANT ONNNNE.

I have to wake up in 5 hours and work my first day on a farm. Why did I volunteer for this again?

Oh yes, because I love animals, and I have to get my summer FIX. I’m being paid, but it’s a friend of mine and I told her and I would legit work for free if it meant interacting with animals again. Why the hell am I a teacher again? *sigh*
